Background Information: The City of Miami has a need for handling and processing recycling materials. On June 14, 2012, Purchasing Department issued a Request for Proposals (RFP No. 290257). As required by the Procurement Code, the RFP was advertised and issued online. On July 16, 2012, at the proposal opening, four (4) responses were submitted. One (1) proposal was found non -responsive, a second (2nd) proposal was withdrawn, and the two (2) remaining proposals have been evaluated. The City Manager approves the findings of the Evaluation Committee and is recommending award to Waste Management Inc. of Florida. The estimated annual revenue contract amount is $426,400.
