A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ACCEPTING A QUIT CLAIM DEED, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM IN
EXHIBIT "B", FROM THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
("DEPARTMENT"), FOR THE TRANSFER OF NORTHWEST 14TH STREET
BETWEEN NORTHWEST 42ND COURT AND NORTHWEST 34TH AVENUE,
MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A", FROM THE DEPARTMENT TO
THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") STREET SYSTEM; FURTHER REQUESTING THAT
THE DEPARTMENT RECORDS SAID QUIT CLAIM DEED IN THE PUBLIC
RECORDS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDES A RECORDED
COPY TO THE CITY.
WHEREAS, Northwest 14th Street is a dedicated public right of way in the City of Miami
("City"); and
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation ("Department") is constructing the Miami
Intermodal Center (the "MIC") located adjacent to Miami International Airport and the Melreese Golf
Course; and
WHEREAS, as part of the MIC project, the Department constructed roadway improvements on
Northwest 14th Street between Northwest 42nd Court and Northwest 34th Avenue, Miami, Florida;
and
WHEREAS, to facilitate construction of these improvements, the City pursuant to Resolution
No. 01-010, transferred a portion of the right of way of Northwest 14th Street, Miami, Florida, as
described in Exhibit "A" attached and incorporated, to the Department; and
WHEREAS, the Department has completed construction of the roadway improvements on
Northwest 14th Street, Miami, Florida, fulfilling the purpose for which the roadway was transferred,
and the Department no longer requires ownership and control of the right of way described in said
Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the Department desires to transfer Northwest 14th Street between Northwest
42nd Court and Northwest 34th Avenue, Miami, Florida, back to the City and this transfer is mutually
agreed upon between the City and the Department;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. A Quit Claim Deed, in substantially the attached form in Exhibit "B", is accepted

from the Department, for the transfer of Northwest 14th Street between Northwest 42nd Court and
Northwest 34th Avenue, Miami, Florida, as described in Exhibit "A", from the Department to the City
street system.
Section 3. It is further requested that the Department records said Quit Claim Deed in the
public records of Miami -Dade County, Florida, and provides a recorded copy to the City.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{1}
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
