Purpose of Item: To accept the bid and authorize execution of a construction contract with Adventure Environmental, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, pursuant to Invitation to Bid No. 11-12-045 received September 17, 2012, for the Kennedy Park Shoreline Stabilization Project, B-30541C, in the amount of $119,000, for the scope of work, plus a ten percent (10%) owner contingency amount of $11,900, for a total not to exceed award value of $130,900. Funds in the amount of $130,900 are to be allocated from Capital Improvement Project No. B-30541C. Background Information: The Capital Improvements Program (CIP) issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 11-12-045 for construction services for the Kennedy Park Shoreline Stabilization Project, B-30541C. Two (2) bids were received by the Office of the City Clerk on September 17, 2012. CIP has determined Adventure Environmental, Inc. (Adventure) to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The City Manager requests authorization to execute a contract with Adventure, in the amount of $119,000, for the scope of work, plus a ten percent (10%) owner contingency amount of $11,900, for a total not to exceed award value of $130,900.
