Purpose of Item: Law Department Matter ID No. A Resolution of the Miami City Commission waiving, pursuant to Section 62-521 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, the temporary event two (2) event limitation per year to allow the property at 265 NW 22 Street, Miami, Florida, to host food truck gatherings on the second Saturday of every month beginning January 1, 2013 and ending December 31, 2013. Background Information: Temporary events are limited to two (2) times per year. This limitation may be waived by affirmative vote of the City Commission. The property wishes to host a food truck gathering in conjunction with the Wynwood Art Walk which is held every second Saturday. A similar resolution was passed in 2012. The event has been well -organized and the organizer has worked closely with City staff to ensure that all life -safety and quality of life issues are addressed. The Resolution does not authorize the events to take place but only allows the applicant to apply. Each event must still be evaluated by City staff to ensure all conditions are met.
