The first - floor porch on the facade was enclosed circa 1980 and has double doors with eight panels. A secondary facade entrance also has circa 1980 paneled wooden doors. On the facade are meta] four -light jalousie and casement windows. On the second story is a recessed porch with a stuccoed balcony with wrought -iron elements. At the corner of the porch is an original wood column. Also on the facade is an inset concrete cartouche. The southern elevation has a one-story pone cochere with an arched opening and clay tiles at the roofline. I just want you to know we proceeded with all proper procedures and obtained EPA approval as well as an actual demolition permit from the City of Miami. As you know we started the demolition of the building with the carport, that like the rest of the house was failing, so that when we did the groundbreaking ceremony, we lessened the danger of someone getting injured due to possible structural failure. It is in my opinion as i stated to you before, that the sooner we are able to get this on the ground the better. I met with Ms. McLaughlin with the City of Miami today and she seems to be talking about some type of meeting in July. We need to have the city send someone from their unsafe structure department to take the liability from us if they are not going to let us proceed. When 1 went there yesterday to get something forgotten in the machine, the neighbor to the south was complaining about settling noises and wanted me to assure him that that chimney isn't going to fad, which I couldn't. It is my opinion that at no fault of our own that the building needs to be demolished ASAP. If there is anything) can do to help please let me know. If the city isn't going to let us proceed 1 need to move the 77,000 lb machine that is there and hope the vibration doesn't cause any further damages.
