HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-12-0414City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-12-0414 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 12-01086 Final Action Date: 10/25/2012 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), ADDING CAPITAL PROJECTS APPROPRIATIONS TO THOSE LISTED IN RESOLUTION NO. 12-0316, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 13, 2012, AND REVISING CURRENT APPROPRIATIONS AMONG APPROVED PROJECTS; FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNDING FOR THE ADDED PROJECTS. WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from Miami Dade County Safe Neighborhood Park Bond is being established in the amount of $49,472 for B-30174; Virginia Key Beach Park Historic Restoration Phase II; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of Impact Fees is being established in the amount of $87,986 for B-60464; New Dinner Key Marina Dockmaster Building; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a General Fund Contribution is being established in the amount of $6,613,500 for various capital projects; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a Structural Design Settlement for Marlins Stadium Parking Garages is being established in the amount of $2,147,208.87 for B-30648; Orange Bowl Site Parking Garages; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of Sanitary Sewer Government Obligation Bonds is being established in the amount of $90,000 for B-60464S; New Dinner Key Marina Dockmaster Building Sanitary Sewer; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of Marinas Capital Repairs and Capital Related Improvements is being established in the amount of $739,000 for B-30706; Miscellaneous Repair - 10% Set Aside; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of Parking Surcharge is being established in the amount of $1,428,600 for B-73102A; Citywide Streets Milling & Resurfacing; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of Stormwater Utility Trust Fund is being established in the amount of $700,000 for B-30262; Citywide Storm Sewer Repair Project; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of Transit Half -Cent Surtax is being established in the amount of $4,089,600 for various capital projects; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of Subrogation Auto Claims Revenue is being established in the amount of $38,937 for B-30666; Damaged Vehicle Replacement and Repair; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of Local Option Gas Tax is being established in the amount City of Miami Page 1 of 3 File Id: 12-01086 (Version: 2) Printed On: 12/12/2017 File Number: 12-01086 Enactment Number: R-12-0414 of $326,000 for B-73102A; Citywide Streets Milling & Resurfacing; and WHEREAS, the new and revised appropriations constitute an update to the existing Multi -Year Capital Plan approved pursuant to Resolution No. 12-0233, adopted June 28, 2012; and WHEREAS, the previous appropriations remain authorized to continue previously approved capital projects; and WHEREAS, select previous appropriations are being reallocated within Capital Funds; and WHEREAS, it is now necessary in order to approve appropriations for new sources of revenues for Fiscal Year 2013 and add to prior year appropriations in Capital Funds based on the following format: Fund 30000 Fund 31000 Fund 32000 Fund 33000 Fund 34000 Fund 35000 Fund 36000 Fund 37000 Fund 38000 Fund 39000 Fund 39900 Fund 98004 Community Redevelopment Area General Government Public Safety Disaster Recovery Public Facilities Parks & Recreation Streets & Sidewalks Sanitary Sewers Storm Sewers Solid Waste Mass Transit ARRA Others - Memo Only; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The herein appropriations are hereby made for implementation of municipal capital improvements of the City of Miami ("City"), for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2013. The added appropriations are designated by reference to capital fund and fund balances. Descriptive fund number and project balances, when included, are shown for informational purposes only. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature by the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, It shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
