The coalition consisted of a multi -agency joint venture which included: the City of Miami Police, the District 5 Commissioner's Office, Model City/Little Haiti NET, City of Miami Parks and Recreation, City of Miami Community Relations Board, Miami Dade County Economic Advocacy Trust, and the South Florida Youth Foundation. The purpose of the coalition was to address the concerns of youth and parents regarding violence and safety with a series of "Safe Summer" activities.
