HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 12-00851 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE DEPARTMENT OF OFF-STREET PARKING FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2012 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2013, IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,845,461 EXCLUDING DEPRECIATION, AND OTHER NON OPERATING EXPENSES OF $7,333,354. WHEREAS, Section 23(h) of the Charter of the City of Miami, Florida ("City Charter"), provides that all budgets, funds and accounts pertaining to the off-street parking facilities of the City of Miami ("City") shall be segregated from all other budgets, funds and accounts of the City and shall be so kept to reflect the financial condition and the operation of each off-street parking facility of the City separately; and WHEREAS, a budget is required to properly administer the Department of Off -Street Parking ("DOSP"); and WHEREAS, Section 23(h) of the City Charter, further provides that no later than one month before the end of each fiscal year the Director of the DOSP, with the approval of the Off -Street Parking Board, shall prepare and submit to the City Commission a budget estimate of expenditures and revenues for the ensuing fiscal year for approval by the City Commission; and WHEREAS, the DOSP Budget for Fiscal Year 2012-2013 has been reviewed and accepted by the Off -Street Parking Board; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The annual budget of the DOSP for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2012.and ending September 30, 2013, in the amount of $14,845,461, excluding depreciation, and other non -operating expenses of $7,333,354, attached and incorporated, is approved and adopted. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} APPROVED AS TO FORM D CORRECTNESS JULIE O.
