A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE VIRGINIA KEY
BEACH PARK TRUST, IN THE AMOUNT OF $557,000, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2012 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2013.
WHEREAS, the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust ("Trust") is a limited instrumentality of the City of
Miami ("City"); and
WHEREAS, the Trust requests the approval of the budget for the fiscal year commencing October
1, 2012 and ending September 30, 2013, in the total amount of $557,000, consisting of a $12,632
from the Trust's existing fund balance and the amount of $544,368 in anticipated revenue, to provide
for the administrative and operational costs to continue the progress and improvements at Historic
Virginia Key Beach Park;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Trust's annual budget, in the amount of $557,000, attached and incorporated, for
the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2012 and ending September 30, 2013, is approved and
adopted.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {1}
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
