HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 12-00903 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), ADDING CAPITAL PROJECTS APPROPRIATIONS TO THOSE LISTED IN RESOLUTION NO. 12-0278, ADOPTED JULY 26, 2012, AND REVISING CURRENT APPROPRIATIONS AMONG APPROVED PROJECTS; FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNDING FOR THE ADDED PROJECTS. WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND") is being established in the amount of $60,000.00 for B-30541B; Kennedy Park Floating Dock PH I; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from FIND is being established in the amount of $75,000 for B-30541C; Kennedy Park Shoreline Stabilization PH1; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from FIND is being established in the amount of $117,500 for B-50722; Little River Waterfront Park LAO; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from Miami -Dade County ("County") is being established in the amount of $13,239 for B-30501B; Manuel Artime Dimmer Rack System; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from the County Metropolitan Planning Organization is being established in the amount of $48,000 for B-30645E; Overtown/Wynwood Bicycle Pedestrian Mobility Plan; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") is being established in the amount of $2,339,739 for B-30651; Miami River Greenway-NW 10 Ave to NW 12 Ave; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of a grant from FDOT is being established in the amount of $1,000,000 for B-30336; Miami River Greenways-NW 5th Street Bridge Extension; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of the Sanitary Sewer Government Obligation Bonds is being established in the amount of $3,350,000 for various capital projects; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of the Transit Half -Cent Surtax is being established in the amount of $2,681,615 for various capital projects; and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of the Local Option Gas Tax is being established in the amount of $158,400 for B-73102A; Citywide Streets Milling & Resurfacing, and WHEREAS, a new appropriation of the Parking Surcharge is being established in the amount of $1,245,400 for B-73102A; Citywide Streets Milling & Resurfacing; and WHEREAS, the new and revised appropriations constitute an update to the existing Multi -Year City of Miami Pagel of 3 File Id: 12-00903 (Version: 1) Printed On: 8/29/2012 File Number: 12-00903 Capital Plan approved pursuant to Resolution No. 12-0233, adopted June 28, 2012; and WHEREAS, the previous appropriations remain authorized to continue previously approved capital projects; and WHEREAS, select previous appropriations are being reallocated within Capital Funds; and WHEREAS, it is now necessary in order to approve appropriations for new sources of revenues for Fiscal Year 2012 and add to prior year appropriations in Capital Funds based on the following format: Fund 30000 Fund 31000 Fund 32000 Fund 33000 Fund 34000 Fund 35000 Fund 36000 Fund 37000 Fund 38000 Fund 39000 Fund 39900 Fund 98004 Community Redevelopment Area General Government Public Safety Disaster Recovery Public Facilities Parks & Recreation Streets & Sidewalks Sanitary Sewers Storm Sewers Solid Waste Mass Transit American Reinvestment and Recovery Act ("ARRA") Others -Memo Only; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The herein appropriations are hereby made for implementation of municipal capital improvements of the City of Miami ("City"), for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2012. The added appropriations are designated by reference to capital fund and fund balances. Descriptive fund number and project balances, when included, are shown for informational purposes only. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature by the Mayor.{1} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JULIE O. BRU CITY ATTORNEY Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, It shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
