Subject: Resolution Granting to Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT"), a perpetual, non-
exclusive easement on City -owned property located at the intersection of NW 12th Avenue and NW 20th
Street, Miami, Florida.
Purpose of Item:
The administration recommends that the Miami City Commission adopt the attached Resolution
authorizing the City Manager to execute a Grant of Easement, in substantially the attached form, to
the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT"), for a perpetual, non-exclusive easement of
approximately four hundred seventy six (476) square feet of City -owned property located at the
intersection of NW 20th Street and NW 12th Avenue, Miami, Florida, as more particularly described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, for the construction, maintenance and widening
of the corner radius and reconstruction of the curb and gutter, sidewalk and curb ramps and
installation of drainage.

Subject: Resolution Granting to Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT"), a perpetual, non-
exclusive easement on City -owned property located at the intersection of NW 12th Avenue and NW 20`h
Street, Miami, Florida.
Background Information:
The State of Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") proposes to construct and improve State
Road No. 933, Section No. 4284802, in Miami -Dade County, Florida. FDOT has requested the grant
of easement of approximately a four hundred seventy six (476) square feet of City -owned property
located at the intersection of NW 20`h Street and NW 12th Avenue, Miami, Florida for the purpose of
constructing, maintaining and widening the corner's radius return, which will involve reconstruction
of the curb and gutter, and sidewalk and curb ramps and installation of drainage, relocation of an
existing light pole, and installation of a new mast arm and associated wiring, conduits, and pull -boxes.
The improvements are in the best interest of the City and it is necessary that an easement across
certain lands now owned by the City of Miami ("City") be acquired by the State of Florida
Department of Transportation.
