A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA"),
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXPEND UP TO $10,000 WITH
HOLLAND & KNIGHT, LLP, CRA SPECIAL COUNSEL, FOR LEGAL SERVICES
AND COSTS; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM SEOPW TIF FUND ENTITLED,
"PROFESSIONAL SERVICES - LEGAL," ACCOUNT CODE NO.
10050.920101.531010.0000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA")
has occasional need of special counsel to provide legal services to the CRA; and
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency by
Resolution No. SEOPW/CRA R-98-11, passed and adopted on June 30, 1998, selected the firm of
Holland & Knight, LLP to serve as special counsel to the CRA; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wish to authorize the Executive Director to pay the
legal fees and costs of special counsel in providing service to the CRA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Board of Commissioners authorizes the Executive Director to expend up to
$10,000 with Holland & Knight, LLP, CRA special counsel, for legal services and costs.
Section 3. Funds to be allocated from SEOPW TIF Fund, "Professional Services - Legal,"
Account Code No. 10050.920101.531010.0000.00000.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
