Bockwe xecutive Jirecto BACKGROUND: Date: April 15, 2011 File: 11-00359 Subject: City Hall The Restaurant References: Enclosures: Supporting Documentation; Legislation It is recommended that the Board of Commissioners of the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") approve and adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the issuance of a grant, in amount not to exceed $ 148,000.00, to City Hall The Restaurant, LLC for exterior capital improvements. The funding request to the CRA represents 22% of the estimated $ 1.4 million project budget, and these proceeds will be used to reimburse the Applicant/Owner for installation of new street curbs, sidewalks, irrigation system, parking lot improvements and the installation of a 12" water line to comply with City of Miami Code. Construction commenced on September 10th, 2010 and is expected to be completed by April to Mid - May of 2011. JUSTIFICATION: Sections B.3 & D.5, on page 41, of the OMNI Redevelopment Plan lists the creation for.a sustainable regional destination and identify by capitalizing on the development of the Performing Arts Ctr. and the Media/Entertainment District. FUNDING: $ 148,000.00 from the OMNI Tax Increment Fund, "Other Grants and Aids", Account Code No. 10040.920101.883000.0000.0000
