A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION WAIVING, THE TEMPORARY
EVENT LIMITATION PER YEAR, FOR PRIVATE PROPERTY, PURSUANT TO
SECTION 62-521(6)(4) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS
AMENDED, TO ALLOW THE PROPERTY AT 1001 SOUTH MIAMI AVENUE, MIAMI,
FLORIDA, TO HOST VARIOUS TEMPORARY EVENTS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER
15, 2012 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2012.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521, of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended
("City Code"), Temporary Events are limited to no more than two (2) events per year, per private
property; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521 of the City Code, the number of events may be waived
upon affirmative vote of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the property at 1001 South Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida ("Property"), has already
had one (1) Temporary Event and plans on holding a second Temporary Event in August 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Property wishes to have other Temporary Events in October and November 2012;
and
WHEREAS, each event must still be permitted by the City of Miami ("City") to ensure life -safety
and quality of life issues and appropriate conditions may be imposed on each permit; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Temporary Events at the Property would be beneficial to the City's
residents and businesses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 62-521(b)(4), of the City Code, the temporary events limit (no more
than two [2] events per year, per private property) at the property located at 1001 South Miami
Avenue, Miami, Florida, beginning September 15, 2012 and ending December 31, 2012, is hereby
waived.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
