Background Information: Pursuant to Florida Statute 205.067 (2012), an individual 'licensed and operating as a broker associate or sales associate under chapter 475, Florida Statutes, is not required to obtain a BTR as currently set forth in the City Code. Therefore, The City of Miami ("City") must update'theCode of the City of Miami, Florida, to reflect the .new statutory requirement exempting broker associates and sales associates from the requirement of obtaining a Local Business Tax Receipt ("BTR").
