A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION WAIVING, THE
TEMPORARY EVENT LIMITATION PER YEAR, FOR PRIVATE PROPERTY,
PURSUANT TO SECTION 62-521(B)(4) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, TO ALLOW THE PROPERTY AT 600 BRICKELL
AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, TO HAVE VARIOUS TEMPORARY EVENTS
BEGINNING JULY 1, 2012 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2012.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521, of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended
("City Code"), Temporary Events are limited to no more than two (2) events per year per private
property; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521 (b) (4) of the City Code, the number of events can be
waived upon affirmative vote of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the property located at 600 Brickell Avenue, Miami, Florida, wishes to have numerous
Temporary Events beginning July 1, 2012 and ending December 31, 2012, such as movie nights,
festivals, fairs, private parties, outdoor meetings, and seminars; and
WHEREAS, the proposed temporary uses at the above location would be beneficial to the City of
Miami's residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this. Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2.- Pursuant to Section 62-521 (b)(4), of the City Code, the temporary events limit (no more
than two [2] events per year, per private property) at the property located at 600 Brickell Avenue,
Miami, Florida, beginning July 1, 2012 and ending December 31, 2012, is hereby waived.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.[1}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attomey, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
