Subject: Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Letter Agreement with the Miami -Dade
County Water and Sewer Department for water and sewer facilities to serve Moore Park, B-35887.
Purpose of Item:
To authorize the City Manager to execute a Letter Agreement detailing water and sewer connection requirements
with the Miami -Dade County Water and Sewer Department as a condition for water and sewer facilities to serve
Moore Park, B-35887.
Background Information:
The Moore Park project includes the new construction of a 2,981 square feet school daycare and 15,894 square
feet of convention center located at 765 NW 36th Street, Miami, Florida. The Miami -Dade County Water and
Sewer Department (County) has requested the execution of a Letter Agreement as a condition for water and
sewer facilities to serve the Moore Park, B-35887. Said Letter Agreement requires that the City of Miami (City)
connect to the existing twenty (20) inch water main located within the property for water service and to the
existing eight (8) inch gravity sewer main located in Northwest 36th Street, Miami, Florida, abutting the southern
boundary of the property.
Prior to issuance of a Verification Form, the City is required to pay combined water and sewer connection
charges in an amount not to exceed $15,280.14 based on the average daily gallonage of 2,186 gallons for the
proposed development use. Funds are to be allocated from Capital Improvement Project No. B-35887, for said
purpose.
