City Ivtanager ADDENDUM NO. 1 IFB No. 307276 April 2, 2012 Invitation For Bid (IFB) for Self -Contained Breather Apparatus Equipment TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS: The following changes, additions, clarifications, and deletions amend the Bid Documents of the above captioned IFB, and shall become an integral part of the Contract Documents. The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Please note the contents herein and reflect same on the documents you have on hand. QI: Will the .City accept an "or equal" on the Oxygen Booster Pump (Line 5 of the IFB)? Al: No, the City of Miami will not accept an equal on the Oxygen Booster Pump or for any of the items listed in the IFB. Q2: Does the City still require three (3) end -user references in spite of the fact that Miami Fire Rescue currently uses Draeger manufactured breathing apparatus? A2 Yes. This is a mandatory requirement, as shown in Special Condition Section 2.16, References, of the IFB. Bidder's who failure to submit at least three (3) references may be deemed non -responsive. The City utilizes the references to determine a vendor's "responsibility". Per Section 18-73 of the City's Procurement Code: "Responsible bidder, proposer, offeror, or respondent means a business which has submitted a bid, offer, proposal, quotation or response, which has the capability, as determined by the city, in all respects to perform fully the contract requirements, and the integrity and reliability of which give reasonable assurance of good faith and performance."
