WHY
AUTOMATED
SINGLE STREAM
RECYCLING?
❖Aluminum & Steel Cans
•° Paper
❖Glass
• Plastic Containers
❖Cardboard/Boxboard
The process of collecting
these items, curbside, prior to
being placed in the waste
stream:
preserves the environment;
decreases the City's disposal
costs; and
extends the useful life of
existing landfills.
Collected from

WHY AUTOMATED
SINGLE STREAM
RECYCLING?
Another benefit of
curbside recycling is
that the department
receives slim per
ton in revenue for
these items, rather
than paying an
average of $65.05 per
ton to dispose of this
material at a County
landfill.

CURRENT
RECYCLING
OPERATIONS

CURRENT

OPERATIONS
Commingled recyclables
are delivered to a

$ii.ii per ton in revenue.
