Subject: Resolution Granting to Florida Power & Light Company, a perpetual, non-exclusive easement
on City -owned property located at approximately 1075 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Florida (also
known as Bicentennial Park).
Purpose of Item:
The administration recommends that the Miami City Commission adopt the attached Resolution
authorizing the City Manager to execute a Grant of Easement, in substantially the attached form, to
Florida Power and Light Company, a for -profit Florida Corporation, for a perpetual, non-exclusive
easement of approximately ten (10) foot wide strip of City -owned property located at 1075 Biscayne
Boulevard, Miami, Florida (also known as Bicentennial Park), as more particularly described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, for the construction, operation, and maintenance
of electric utility facilities, with the right to reconstruct, improve, add to, change and remove all or
any of the facilities within said easement.

Subject: Resolution Granting to Florida Power & Light Company, a perpetual, non-exclusive easement
on City -owned property located at approximately 1075 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Florida (also
known as Bicentennial Park).
Background Information:
Florida Power & Light Company has requested the grant of easement of approximately ten (10) foot
wide strip of City -owned property located at 1075 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Florida (also known
as Bicentennial Park).
The easement will be used to construct, operate and maintain electric utility facilities (including wires,
guys, cables, conduits and appurtenant equipment) to be installed from time to time to service
exclusively City -owned property, with the right to reconstruct, improve, add to, enlarge, change the
voltage of, change the size of and remove such facilities or any of them within the easement with full
right of ingress and egress to the easement area.
The easement is necessary in order to bring electrical service to the building on City -owned property.
