A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ADOPTING THE FINDINGS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") PHASE II
STORMWATER MANAGEMENT MASTER PLAN, DATED FEBRUARY 17, 2012,
PREPARED BY ADA ENGINEERING, INC., ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED,
SERVING AS A TOOL TO ANALYZE AREAS OF FLOOD CONCERN WHICH
IMPACT PUBLIC SAFETY AND PROPERTY LOSS; FURTHER RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF THE FINDINGS, MEASURES AND LOCATIONS CONTAINED
THEREIN. -
WHEREAS, ADA Engineering, Inc. was tasked with completing Phase I and Phase II of the City of
Miami's ("City's") Stormwater Management Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11-0070, adopted February 24, 2011, the City Commission
adopted the City Phase I Stormwater Management Master Plan, dated January 20, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the primary objective of this study is to analyze areas of flood concern which impact
public safety and property loss; and
WHEREAS, this plan will satisfy the National Insurance Flood Program -Community Rating System
("NFIP-CRS") requirements for potential improvements to the NFIP-CRS ranking; and
WHEREAS, the findings will further allow the City to develop a comprehensive five (5) year Capital
Improvement Plan identifying drainage improvement areas and enhancements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The findings of the City Phase II Stormwater Management Plan, dated February 17,
2012, prepared by ADA Engineering, Inc., attached and incorporated, serving as a tool to analyze
areas of flood concern which impact public safety and property Toss, are adopted.
Section 3. The City Commission further recommends approval of the findings, measures and
locations contained therein.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {1}

{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
