HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-12-0169City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-12-0169 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 12-00350 Final Action Date: 4/26/2012 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED SEPTEMBER 19, 2011, PURSUANT TO INVITATION FOR BIDS NO. 275276-2, FROM FEDERAL TACTICS SECURITY, INC., THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, FOR THE PROVISION OF CROWD MANAGEMENT AND PARKING PERSONNEL SERVICES FOR THE BAYFRONT PARK MANAGEMENT TRUST ("TRUST"), ON AN AS -NEEDED BASIS, FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR, WITH THREE (3) ONE (1) YEAR OPTIONS TO RENEW; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE TRUST'S OPERATING BUDGET, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED. WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 38, Article III of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City Code"), the Bayfront Park Trust Management Trust ("Trust") has been empowered to direct, operate, manage and maintain all aspects of Bayfront Park ("Park"); and WHEREAS, the Trust's purpose is to ensure maximum community utilization of the Park; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 38, Article III of the City Code, the Trust's Executive Director is authorized to manage and operate the Park; and WHEREAS, the City's Purchasing Department issued Invitation for Bids ("IFB") No. 275276, on September 9, 2011, on behalf of the Trust, for Crowd Management and Parking Personnel Services; and WHEREAS, five (5) responses were received by the September 19, 2011, closing date, and Federal Tactics Security, Inc., was determined to be the most responsive and responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, the Trust, at its February 27, 2012, board meeting, accepted the tabulations made by the City's Purchasing Department naming Federal Tactics Security, Inc., the most responsive and responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The bid received September 19, 2011, pursuant to IFB No. 275726-2, from Federal tactics, Security, Inc., for the provision of Crowd Management and Parking Personnel Services for the Trust, on an as -needed basis, for a period of one (1) year, with three (3) one (1) year options to renew, is accepted, with funds allocated from the Trust's Operating Budget, subject to the availability City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 12-00350 (Version: 1) Printed On: 11/8/2017 File Number: 12-00350 Enactment Number: R-12-0169 of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor. {1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
