("ALLEGUEZ"), (2) ARCHITEKNICS, INC. ("ARCHITEKNICS"), (3) GILI-MCGRAW ARCHITECTS, LLP ("GILI-MCGRAW"), (4) FERGUSON GLASGOW SCHUSTER SOTO, INC. ("FERGUSON GLASGOW") AND (5) RIZO CARRENO & PARTNERS, INC. ("RIZO CARRENO"), FOR THE PROVISION OF MISCELLANEOUS ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $250,000, THEREBY INCREASING THE TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT FOR ALLEGUEZ, ARCHITEKNICS, GILI-MCGRAW AND FERGUSON GLASGOW FROM $500,000, TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $750,000, AND INCREASING THE TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT FOR RIZO CARREFJO FROM $1,000,000, TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,250,000; ALLOCATING FUNDS FOR SAID INCREASE, FROM THE APPROPRIATE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, ON AN AS -NEEDED BASIS; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENTS TO THE AGREEMENTS, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM(S), WITH EACH FIRM, FOR SAID PURPOSES. WHEREAS, pursuant to Request for Qualifications Nos. 08-09-001 and 08-09-063, the City of Miami ("City") executed Professional Services Agreements ("Agreements") with (1) Alleguez Architecture, Inc. (" Alleguez"), (2) Architeknics, Inc. ("Architeknics"), (3) Gili-McGraw Architects, LLP ("Gili-McGraw"), (4) Ferguson Glasgow Schuster Soto, Inc. ("Ferguson Glasgow"), and (5) Rizo Carreno & Partners, Inc. ("Rizo Carreno"), for the provision of Miscellaneous Architectural Services, in an amount not to exceed $500,000; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10-0089, adopted February 25, 2010, the City entered into Amendment No. 1 with Rizo Carreno, increasing the Agreement from $500,000 to an amount not to exceed $1,000,000; and WHEREAS, the original expenditure limits per firm has diminished by varied, but significant amounts, based on the volume of work assigned to each firm and the complexity of the projects assigned; and WHEREAS, the current remaining contract balance is not sufficient to cover the design costs anticipated for new projects such as Lummus Landing Square, Curtis Park Pool, African Square Splash Park, Fire Station No. 14, Kennedy Park Restrooms Building and Virginia Key Rowing Club; and City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 12-00293 (Version: 11 Printed On: 3/23/2012 File Number: 12-00293 WHEREAS, it is now . necessary to enter into Amendments with each firm, increasing the Agreements by $250,000, thereby increasing the contract amount for Alleguez, Architeknics, Gili-McGraw and Ferguson Glasgow from $500,000, to a final amount not to exceed $750,000 and increasing the total contract amount for Rizo Carreno from $1,000,000, to a final amount not to exceed $1,250,000; and WHEREAS, funds are to be allocated from the appropriate Capital Improvement Projects on an as -needed basis; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. An increase to the Agreements with (1) Alleguez, (2) Architeknics, (3) Gili-McGraw, (4) Ferguson Glasgow, and (5) Rizo Carreno, for the provision of Miscellaneous Architectural Services, in the amount of $250,000, thereby increasing the contract amount for Alleguez, Architeknics, Gill -McGraw and Ferguson Glasgow from $500,000, to a final amount not to exceed $750,000 and increasing the total contract amount for Rizo Carreno from $1,000,000, to a final amount not to exceed $1,250,000, is authorized, with funds for said increase, allocated from the appropriate Capital Improvement Projects on an as -needed basis. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute Amendments to the Agreements, in substantially the attached form(s), with each firm, for said purposes. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS 7 JULIE O. BRU 7/ CITY ATTORNEY Footnotes : {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
