SUBJECT: LETF Funding Request
DATE:
February 13, 2012
Attached you will find the 2012 budget for the Do The Right Thing
Program (DTRT) which was reviewed and approved by the DTRT Board
of Directors. We are respectfully requesting a donation from the Law
Enforcement Trust Fund in the amount of $120,000 for the program's
operating expenses. For your records, our last LETF contribution check
was dated June 20, 2011 in the amount of $110,000. The increase of
$10,000 reflected in this year's budget is due to the loss of several
corporate sponsorships from the lagging economy. We continue to work
diligently to replace these sponsors as well as engage in fundraisers such
as the Women In Blue 2012 calendar which generated $6,000 to try to
lessen the burden on LETF, however, this increase will be extremely
helpful in DTRT being able to meet expenses.
It cannot go without saying that Do The Right Thing truly appreciates your
support of our program and it does not go unnoticed. Thank you for your
consideration of this request and your continued support of Do The Right
Thing and the youth of Miami.
Please contact me if you have any questions or confusion pertaining to
this.
