HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-12-0115City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-12-0115 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 12-00310 Final Action Date: 3/22/2012 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION SELECTING TED GUBAAS THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE TO BE APPOINTED AS INDEPENDENT AUDITOR GENERAL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, SUBJECT TO COMMISSIONER FRANK CAROLLO NEGOTIATING ACCEPTABLE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TED GUBA'S EMPLOYMENT WHICH INCLUDES COMPENSATION AND EMOLUMENTS. WHEREAS, Section 48 of the Miami Charter created the Office and position of Independent Auditor General to provide the City Commission with independent oversight and analytical functions of the City of Miami; and WHEREAS, at the conclusion of the term of former Auditor General Victor I. Igwe, the City Commission conducted a comprehensive recruitment for his replacement; and WHEREAS, the City Commissioners conducted interviews with the three (3) finalist candidates and Ted Guba was selected as the successful candidate to appoint; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Ted Guba is selected as the successful candidate to be appointed as Independent Auditor General of the City of Miami, Florida, subject to Commissioner Frank Carollo negotiating acceptable terms and conditions of Ted Guba's employment which includes compensation and emoluments.
