Purpose of Item: A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachments, authorizing the City Manager to submit an application for grant funding to the Florida Inland Navigation District ("FIND") Waterways Assistance Program, in an amount not to exceed $38,500 for the Manatee Bend Park seawall improvements and boat launch ramp installation ("Project"); authorizing the allocation of the required matching funds for fifty percent (50%) of the project costs, in an amount not to exceed $38,500 to be provided Capital Improvement Project B-30801 for a total project cost of $77,000; further authorizing the City Manager to execute any other necessary documents for the submission of said grant application, the execution of grant of deed agreements, and the acceptance and appropriation of matching funds in the event of the award of the grant for fiscal year 2012 — 2013. Background Information: The Office of Grants Administration is seeking City Commission authorization to apply for $38,500 in grant funding from the Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) to repair a broken seawall and, install a kayak (boat) launch ramp.
