I /SECTIONS 10-4 AND 10-5 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS
AMENDED, ENTITLED "BUILDINGS/IN GENERAL", IN ORDER TO CHANGE THE
SCHEDULE OF FEES, AND WAIVED FEES RELATED TO THE PROCESSING AND
ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE:
Background Information:
• The changes reflected in the residential portion of the fees are to bring them into the same
form as the commercial fee charges. Fees will not be increasing for residential but be calculated on a
percentage basis in order to make the process less cumbersome for our residents: The previous
percentages have been adjusted to reflect with more exactitude the total cost of construction. The
ordinance was adopted on first reading February 9, 2012.
