Adopt a Resolution accepting a Legislative Pre -Disaster Mitigation Grant ("LDPM") from the State of
Florida, Division of Emergency Management, for the above -mentioned project in the amount of
$750,000.00. The required matching funds are available from Capital Improvements Project No. 40-
B-30183 for a required match in the amount not to exceed $250,986.50, for a total amount off
$1,000,986.50.
Background Information:
As a Legislative Pre -Disaster Mitigation Program Project, the City of Miami, proposes to improve the
drainage area referred as LPDM 2009-06 Garden Storm Sewers Project. The proposed project is
located in an area bounded by N.W. 36`" Street on the South; Airport Expressway (112) on the North;
N.W. 27th Avenue on the West and N.W. 24th Avenue on the East. The City of Miami will design and
construct exfltration trenches and associated drainage structures to relieve stoimwater flooding in the
area, along with restoration of the streets, sidewalks, ramps, pedestrian and landscape within project
limits.
