Subject: Resolution amending Capital Projects Appropriations Resolution No. 12-0011 and Resolution
No. 12-0015, adopted January 12, 2012.
Purpose of Item:
To appropriate new funding sources and to amend the Capital Improvements Appropriations
Resolution 12-0011 and Resolution No. 12-0015, to reflect the addition of these funds as well as other
reprogramming of existing funding.
Background Information:
A new appropriation of revenues from Transit Half -Cent Surtax is being established to fund City of
Miami Trolley Program - Capital Acquisition & Expenditures, B-70715; a new appropriation of
revenues from Marinas Revenues is being established to fund Miscellaneous Repair - 10% Set Aside,
B-30706; a new appropriation of revenues from TVM Production Basic Use Fee is being established
to fund Coconut Grove Waterfront Master Plan PHI, B-30182A. Furthermore, the City received
several grants totaling $2,550,000 from various granting agencies. These new appropriations, as well
as reprogramming of existing funding to continue projects, require that the Capital Improvements
Appropriations Resolution No. 12-0011 and Resolution No. 12-0015 be amended to reflect said
changes to the capital appropriations.
