As per the Code of Federal Regulations 24 CFR 91.200, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development ("HUD") requires entitlement cities that receive funds under its grant programs to prepare an
Annual Action Plan, which details proposed activities to maximize the benefits of federal funding for low
income residents. The City of Miami is required to report annually to HUD on projects funded through the
Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG"); Home Investment Partnership ("HOME"); Emergency
Shelter Grant ("ESG"); and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS ("HOPWA") programs.
The City of Miami Department of Community Development has completed a draft of its 2012-2013 Action
Plan. The Annual Action Plan will be available for public review and comment for a period of no less than 30
days. The review and comment period begins on January 10, 2012, and ends February 8, 2012. The plan will be
presented to City Commission for approval on February 9, 2012, (public hearing) at City Commission
Chambers, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, FL 33130 at 9:00 a.m.
Draft copies of the Plan will be available at the City of Miami Department of Community Development office
located at 444 SW 2nd Avenue, 2nd Floor, Miami, FL, 33130 or on its website at
www.miamiaov.comlcommunitvdevelopment on January 10, 2012. Comments to the plan must be submitted,
in writing to: 444 SW 2nd Avenue, 2' Floor, Miami, FL. 33130; Attn.: Roberto Tazoe, no later than February 8,
2012. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend the Public Hearing. The meeting site is accessible to the
handicapped. Requests for special accommodations may be directed to the Department of Community
Development at (305) 416-2080 no less than three (3) business days prior to the Public Hearing date.
