Thompson References: January 13, 2011 Agenda City Clerk Enclosures: List of members Pursuant to Sec 46-2 (a) (1), The Nuisance Abatement Board was created to serve as a quasi- judicial forum in which controversies over the existence of public nuisances may be resolved in the public interest with due process of law. This board shall consist of five individuals who reside, own real property or maintain a business office within the City of Miami and who are appointed by the city commission. All members shall serve a term of one year or until the nominating commissioner leaves office, whichever occurs first. Each city commissioner shall nominate one member for appointment to the board. Any member may be reappointed by the city commission for not more than six consecutive terms. Appointments to fill a vacancy shall be for the remainder of the unexpired term. One (1) Term limit waiver is required at this time: * • Shane Graber, incumbent, who was re -appointed by Chairman Sarnoff on March 11, 2010, has served as a member since May 8, 2003, and requires a term waiver by a unanimous (5/5th) vote of the Commission. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the January 13, 2011 Commission agenda. PAT: pl C: George K.
