Director Chief %' ���/ / 0 City Manager ATTACHMENT On July 13, 2006, the City Commission adopted Ordinance 12828, which amended Chapter 42, Article IV, Division 4, Section 42-119 of the City Code by adjusting the maximum tow rates allowed for police department and Department of Off -Street Parking dispatched towing and wrecker service for private vehicles. Additionally on February 11, 2010, the City Commission adopted Ordinance 13142, which authorized an increase in the towing rates as set forth in 2006 under Section 42-119; as well as adjusting towing rates under Chapter 42, Article IV, Division 2, Sections 42-110, and Division 3, Section 42-117, which had not been increased since 2000. The proposed new towing rates have been further adjusted to consider inflation, the increased cost of fuel, cost of insurance, increased labor costs due to minimum wage increases and account for increase cost associated with the administrative oversight by the City such as inspections, billing and collection processing.
