PUBLIC NOTICE ., Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 10:30 AM Community �m • City of Miami Commission Chamber ` Development lopet 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 Federal regulations governing Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") and other U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of, and an opportunity to comment on, any amendments to funding of HUD programs. The public is advised of the proposed amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) indicated below: * t $: 1. Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of City of Miami Department of Community Development ("CD") CDBG program income funds in the amount of $50,000 to be allocated as follows: Allapattah Community Action, Inc. $18,028, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami, Inc./Services for the elderly (GESU) $1,288, Curley's House of Style, Inc. $1,470, De Hostos Senior Center, Inc. $4,790, Fifty-five Years & Up, Inc. $1,282, Little Havana Activities & Nutrition Centers of Dade County, Inc. $9,980, Southwest Social Services Programs, Inc. $7,261, Sunshine for All, Inc. $3,112, Sisters and Brothers Forever, Inc. $2,791. Total $50,000; for public service activities for the Elderly Service Programs. 2. Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing an extension of time to Miami Dream Homes Investment Group, Inc. to complete construction and convey the CD Building Project, located at 1525 Northwest 60th Street to the City of Miami from December 31, 2009 to June 30, 2010. 3. Discussion and proposed resolution amending the Loan Program guidelines to include non-profit entities. 4. Discussion and proposed resolution amending the Commercial Facade Program Agreement to include commercial code compliance. 5. Discussion and proposed resolution modifying the Affordable Housing Trust Fund ("AHTF") guidelines in order to clarify the language. 6. Discussion and proposed resolution approving a substantial amendment to the FY2008-2009 Action Plan and an amendment to the City of Miami's Neighborhood Stabilization Program Implementation Policies. 7. Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the City Manager to approve and execute contracts with contractors selected through a competitive bidding process for the rehabilitation of foreclosed residential units under the City's Neighborhood Stabilization Program, and approve and execute contracts for contractors selected through a competitive bidding process for the construction of single family, affordable housing units under the City's Neighborhood Stabilization Program and/or the Neighborhood Initiatives Program of the Liberty City Revitalization Trust, • The adoption of this Ordinance/Resolution, by the City Commission, authorizes the City Manager to draft/ amend the appropriate City of Miami annual Action Plan. t This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begins Tuesday, November 17, 2009 and ends Wednesday, December 16, 2009. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to City Commission for approval on Thursday, December 17, 2009 (public hearing). $ Draft copies will be available at the City of Miami Department of Community Development office located at 444 SW 2nd Avenue, 2nd floor, Miami, Florida, 33130.
