ADDENDUM NO. 1

Invitation For Bid (IFB) for Invitation For Bid for Chip Dump Trucks.
TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
The following changes, additions, clarifications, and deletions amend the Bid Documents of the above captioned IFB,
and shall become an integral part of the Contract Documents: Please note the contents herein and reflect same on the
documents you have on hand.
Note: We are moving the bid opening date from Monday, June 1, 2009 to Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 3:00P11/1.
Q1: Please clarify Item 7 — is requesting a 16' body with 1.8 cubic yards. Actually a 16' body would be about 25 cubic
yards and would require a heavier hydraulic lift. On the other hand a 14' body will yield 18 cubic yards, it would also
allow you to have a shorter wheelbase for better maneuverability. Spray in bed liner dump and top? Top of inside or
outside of body?
A1: We require a Chip dump box of 168 inches (14 feet) long, 92 inches wide, more or less 60 inches tall.
Lining inside the body only.
Q2: Item 8, is requesting two boxes 24" x 48" x 18". I assume that you are asking for one box with the same
dimensions that is located directly behind the cab with doors at each side. Clarify the position and size of the 4 tool
boxes please. .
A2: Positions are under the dump box on the sides, two on each side. Two boxes of 48 inches Tong x 20
inches high x 18 inches deep, and two cross boxes of 24 inches long x 92 inches wide x 37 inches high across
frame (48 inches door).
Q3: Item 12, is requesting (1) roof mounted strobe beacon. The majority of the body vendors are providing (4)
_strobes.on-the body, (1) at each .corner_and.the_price is about the same.
A3: We require the one roof mounted strobe beacon on the cab only.

Q4: Item 13, Powder Coat, does the city of have a particular reason why they want the body powder coated?
A4: Powder coatis not required. Use White Exteror paint pervehic!e manufacturer
