A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM
AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, FOR THE MIAMI
RIVER GREENWAY PROJECT, B-30651, ALLOWING THE UTILIZATION OF
FUNDING CONSISTING OF A GRANT AWARDED FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,096,041, FOR
SAID PROJECT, TO BE APPROPRIATED BY A SEPARATE RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") applied for and was awarded a federal grant in the amount
of $2,096,041, from the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") for the Miami River Greenway
Project, B-30651 ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, the scope of work consists of the design of the Project, including roadway
beautification, enhancements, and improvements to the Greenway, such as new wider sidewalks,
curb and gutter, new wider landscaping verge, on street parking, new pavements markings and
signing, decorative pedestrian and roadway lighting, historical markers, and tree planting; and
WHEREAS, this resolution accepts said FDOT grant funding in the amount of $2,096,041, and
seeks authorization for the City Manager to execute the attached Local Agency Program ("LAP")
Agreement, necessary in order to accept and administer the funds; and
WHEREAS, FDOT funds will be appropriated by a separate resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute a LAP Agreement, in substantially the
attached form, for the Project, to allow the utilization of funding consisting of a grant awarded from
FDOT, in the amount of $2,096,041, for said Project, to be appropriated by a separate resolution.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
