Subject: Discussion and Adoption of the 2009 State Legislative Agenda
Purpose of Item:
To discuss and adopt the City of Miami's legislative agenda for the 2009 State of Florida legislative
session.
Background Information:
The State of Florida Legislature will commence its 2009 session on March 3, 2009. In preparation,
the Legislature is set to meet in committees for one week in December 2008, and through the months
of January and February 2009. As such, the Office of the City Manager seeks approval from the City
Commission to forward these legislative prorities during the upcoming session.
