Background of Item: GSA has a need to replace two (2) fuel service station tanks and maintain services, on an as needed basis. The City has outgrown the current system and is in need of larger fuel tanks to meet the needs of the various City departments. Market research was conducted to gauge the market for said services. During the search it was found that Miami -Dade County had a contract in place for fuel service station maintenance, repair and services, which was competitively solicited under full and open competition, meeting all of the City's criteria for accessing the contract. It was determined that accessing MDC Contract No. FB-01793, will enable the City to procure the services of installation and maintenance of the fuel service station, at a fair competitive rate that is acceptable to the City. It is recommended that the City access this contract in order to benefit from the cost savings resulting from economies of scales. The estimated contract amount is approximately $1,000,000.00.
