PETITION
Consideration of an ordinance of the Miami City
Commission, moving Section 8.1, "Tree Protection" from
the Zoning Ordinance No. 11000, as amended, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Miami, to Chapter 17 of the City
Code; containing a severability clause; and providing for
an effective date.

RECOMMENDATION Approval.
BACKGROUND AND
ANALYSIS
It is recommended that Section 8.1, "Tree Protection" be
moved from Ordinance No. 11000, as amended, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami, and transferred to
Chapter 17 of the City Code, which is dedicated to
Environmental Preservation and Tree Protection, as this
recommended change will provide uniformity for tree
protection and other environmental preservation
requirements.
