BOX 330708 MIAMI, FLORIDA 33233-0708 (305) 250-5400 FAX (305) 250-5410 The City of Miami has entered a new era in this 21s` Century with a major increase in urban development that will enhance the future economic prosperity of Miami. While we in the city continuously work together with the development community to make this transition a smooth one for all involved, the City is also charged with maintaining the quality of life for those residents and business owners residing in the city. In order to better serve our constituents and to respond more effectively to their complaints, a task force has been created that will be taking a comprehensive approach towards providing compliance with the building industry's governing codes with reference to noise, blocking of sidewalks, r-o-w encroachment, damage to adjacent properties and storm drain impacts. The task force will be a collaborative effort between key city departments such as Building, Code Enforcement, NET, Police and Public Works. The mission of the task force is to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and working environment within city neighborhoods. The task force will assist by maintaining and improving the quality of any particular community by administering a fair and unbiased enforcement program to correct violations of the city code and Florida building code. In the upcoming weeks, this task force will begin visiting construction sites throughout the City. We look forward to this opportunity to educate and answer any questions you may have on the City and/or Florida Building code requirements. We thank you for bringing your business to the City of Miami and should you need more information about the task force and their responsibilities, please contact Mariano Loret de Mola, Director of Code Enforcement/Task Force Coordinator at (305) 416-2039.
