HomeMy WebLinkAboutDiscussion ItemCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 06-01861 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000, FROM THE LIBERTY CITY COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION TRUST, AND AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF SAID FUNDS TO THE MARTIN LUTHER KING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, FOR THE REVITALIZATION OF THE MARTIN LUTHER KING BUSINESS CENTER; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000, FROM THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF SAID FUNDS TO THE LIBERTY CITY COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION TRUST. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The transfer of funds, in the amount of $500,000, from the Liberty City Community Revitalization Trust and the allocation of said funds to the Martin Luther King Economic Development Corporation, for the revitalization of the Martin Luther King Business Center, and the transfer of funds, in the amount of $500,000, from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund and the allocation of said funds, to the Liberty City Community Revitalization Trust, is authorized. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JORGE L. FERNANDEZ CITY ATTORNEY Footnotes: {1 } If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
