HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutionCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 06-00770 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), APPROVING THE DESIGN FOR THE "BRYAN PARK NEW TENNIS CENTER," PROJECT B-30134, DATED FEBRUARY 20, 2006, PREPARED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND TRANSPORTATION ("DEPARTMENT"); DIRECTING THE DEPARTMENT TO IMPLEMENT SAID PROJECT. WHEREAS, Bryan Park received Homeland Defense funding for the construction of a new tennis center; and WHEREAS, the Department of Capital Improvements and Transportation ("Department") designed the Bryan Park new Tennis Center ("Project") according to the Florida Building Code and all applicable City of Miami ("City") codes; and WHEREAS, the Project as designed and permitted consists of three (3) new tennis courts to meet United States Tennis Association requirements, one (1) new 2,456 square foot recreational building, and eight (8) new parking spaces; and WHEREAS, the Project is now ready to be permitted and constructed; and WHEREAS, the Department desires to implement the design and requests the approval of the City Commission; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set fourth in this Section. Section 2. The Project design dated February 20, 2006, prepared by the Department, attached and incorporated, is approved. Section 3. The Department is directed to implement the Project. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JORGE L.
