Subject: Financial Update and Budget Outlook
Purpose of Item:
Enacting an anti -deficiency act to set forth regulations to ensure that departments and department
directors with authority to direct obligation or disbursement of city funds do not expend funds during
a fiscal year in excess of those which have been approved in a duly adopted budget.
Background Information:
In compliance with the requirements in Ordinance No. 11727 enacted in November 1998, the
Administration is prepared to provide a financial update and a budget outlook.
