Thompson City Clerk Subject: Equal Opportunity Advisory Board References: June 9, 2005 Agenda Enclosures: List of members The Equal Opportunity Advisory Board was created to review and recommend to the City Commission the adoption of amendments/revisions to the City's affirmative action plan. The board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to the Department of Human Resources. Two members' terms expired on February 8, 2005: • Chairman Sanchez has one nomination for seat currently held by Raul Dominguez, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed per City Code (8 absences in 2004). • Commissioner Regalado has one nomination for seat currently held by Anthony Cantey, who has exceeded the number of absences allowed per City Code (3 consecutive absences in 2005; 8 absences in 2004). For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the June 9, 2005 Commission agenda. This matter was deferred from the February 10a', April 14a', and May 12, 2005 Commission meetings.
