We are in receipt of a letter from Mr. Lester Sola, Supervisor of Elections for Miami -Dade County, in
response to our request for cost estimates on the upcoming November election. The letter describes
estimated costs for a stand alone election, a shared election and an election if held on the same day as a
county wide election should such an election be called (see attached). Below you will find a table
with this information summarized along with information on early voting cost estimates.
A discussion item on Mr. Sola's request to change the date of the election from November 8, 2005 to
November 1, 2005 was scheduled for Commission consideration on the May 12, 2005 Commission
meeting agenda, but was deferred until the May 26, 2005 meeting to accommodate Mr. Solar'
attendance.
Please contact me if you have any questions concerning this discussion item.
