On September 13, 2004, Ms. Gloria Velazquez, Greenberg Traurig, and Mr. Michael Proto presented "Reflections on the River", which would require a land use and zoning amendment from Marine Industrial (SD-4) to Commercial with an SD-7 Zoning overlay, located at 201-261 SW 6 ST. The MRC unanimously found the proposal to be consistent with the award winning Miami River Corridor Urban Infill Plan 's recommendations for this "lower river" section, located to the east of I-95. In addition, the MRC unanimously found the proposal to be consistent with the Miami River Greenway Action Plan, in that it provides a publicly accessible riverwalk, with a minimum width of 20 feet, consisting of a minimum 16-foot wide unobstructed pedestrian path, an additional 4-feet of landscaping, lighting and other amenities, the development is set -back 50-feet from the shoreline and features an `on -road' greenway section along SW 6 ST.
