A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE OFFICE OF
THE AUDITOR GENERAL TO CONDUCT COMPLETE REVIEW, AUDIT, AND
INVESTIGATION OF THE CLAIM MADE BY THE WYNDHAM GRAND BAY
("HOTEL"), LOCATED AT 2669 SOUTH BAYSHORE DRIVE, MIAMI, FLORIDA,
THAT THE HOTEL OVERPAID ITS PUBLIC SERVICE TAX TO THE CITY OF MIAMI,
IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $36,388.54; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO HIRE AN OUTSIDE FIRM TO CONDUCT SAID AUDIT IF
NECESSARY, SHOULD THE OFFICE OF THE AUDITOR GENERAL NOT HAVE
THE RESOURCES; DIRECTING THE OFFICE OF THE AUDITOR GENERAL OR
THE OUTSIDE FIRM TO PRESENTA REPORT OF ITS FINDINGS TO THE CITY
COMMISSION WITHIN 90 DAYS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Office of the Auditor General is directed to conduct a complete review, audit, and
investigation of the claim made by the Wyndham Grand Bay ("Hotel"), located at 2669 South
Bayshore Drive, Miami, Florida, that the Hotel overpaid its public service tax to the City of Miami, in
the estimated amount of $36,388.54.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to hire an outside firm to conduct said audit if
necessary, should the Office of the Auditor General not have the resources.
Section 3. The Office of the Auditor General or the outside firm is directed to present a report of
its findings to the City Commission within 90 days.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
