FL. 2004 JUL 29 PH 3: 42 CONSTRj1 T ION SECTIOri Re: Four Seasons Signage -1441 Brickell Avenue, Miami, Florida Dear Mr. Arriola: Our client The Four Seasons Hotel and Towers requires permanent signage to adequately direct customers to the Self -Parking Garage, the Port Cochere for Valet areas. One sign would be located at the entrance of the porte cochere on the north side of the building and the second sign on the south side of the building in front of the parking garage. Attached please find site plan and proposed signage. These signs will be located in the public right of way, because there is no other location for them in order to be visible. Pursuant to the City Code Section 54-8, approval by the City Commission is required to place size restricted signs in the public right of way. Section 54-8 provides: Sec. 54-8. Using street or sidewalk for display purposes, exceptions; permit and fee. It shall be unlawful to use any portion of a street, public right- of-way, or sidewalk in the city for display purposes, except as approved by the city commission. Displays approved by the city commission shall be no larger than 16 square feet, and no portion of any display or attachment thereto may be more than 84 inches from the ground. The two signs are well within the size restriction and, are also consistent previous approvals by the City Commission. Pursuant to Section 54-8, we are requesting to be placed on the next possible City Commission agenda.
