AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING CHAPTER
2/ARTICLE II OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, ENTITLED
"ADMINISTRATION/MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION," AS AMENDED, BY
AMENDING SECTION 2-38 ENTITLED: "USE OF ARTICLE II, ENTITLED "MAYOR
AND CITY COMMISSION," BY CREATING SECTION 2-38 ENTITLED "USE OF CITY
HALL," RELATING TO THE FINAL AUTHORITY OF MEETINGS HELD AT THE
COMMISSION CHAMBERS AND TO WHICH MEETINGS WILL BE TELEVISED ON
THE CITY OF MIAMI'S CABLE STATION; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION,
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Chapter 2/Article II of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, entitled
"Administration/Mayor and City Commission" is amended in the following particulars:{1}
"Chapter 2
ADMINISTRATION
Article II. Mayor and City Commission
Sec. 2-38. Use of City Hall
The city's administration shall submit requests to the city commission regarding
meetings to be held at the commission chambers at city hall. The city administration
shall also submit requests regarding meetings to be televised on the city's cable
station. The city commission shall review such requests and have the final authority
relating to the meetings held at the commission chambers at city hall, and the final
authority relating to which meetings will be televised on the city's cable station."

Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances that are inconsistent or in conflict with the
provisions of this Ordinance are repealed.

Section 3. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is
declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

Footnotes:
{1} This Ordinance shall become effective as specified herein unless vetoed by the Mayor within ten
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Ordinance, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission or upon the effective date
stated herein, whichever is later.
