This memo respectfully recommends that "final action" be taken on the subject memo, (subject to any "unreadiness by any single Commissioner"), be scheduled for Thursday, July 29, 2004, of the City Commission meeting. If there are concerns on this timeline and approach, I would then recommend that each Commissioner schedule private (individual) meeting(s) with each of the three (3) applicants prior to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 29. To assist and facilitate the administration of these meetings, the City Clerk has designated the following individual to be available to each Commissioner and further to stay in close and constant contact with each of the three (3) applicants for the next seven (7) days: Anna Medina (C) 305-302-5282 (H) 305-223-9489 (0) 305-250-5366 Finally, for your perusal, attached are the six (6) evaluation forms submitted by the "Members of the Selection Committee. Teele, Jr. CITY OF MIAMI CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE MEMORANDUM TO: Honorable Vice Chairman Joe Sanchez and Members of the City Commission FROM: Arthur E. Teele, Jr., Chairman City Attorney Selection Advisory Committee DATE: July 22, 2004 RE: City Attorney Selection Committee's Recommendations for Position of City Attorney Pursuant to Commission Resolution R-04-0305, adopted May 6, 2004, which established the City Attorney Selection Advisory Committee ("Committee") to advertise and review applications for the position of City Attorney, and make recommendations to the City Commission, said Committee held three publicly noticed meetings. Each Committee member reviewed every candidate's application and submitted an evaluation report to the Committee, utilizing an agreed upon methodology. On July 21, 2004, the Committee met and the members present considered all evaluation reports, collegially -evaluated - the candidates and determined, utilizing the reports, a consensus recommendation of the most qualified candidates. The Committee then voted to recommend the consensus top three candidates to the City Commission for its review and cons - - • o i' for the position of City Attorney.
