HomeMy WebLinkAboutpublic noticeCITY OF MIAMI NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on April 22, 2004, at 9:00 a.m., in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida, for the purpose of considering the following resolution: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S) BY A FOUR -FIFTHS (4/5THS) AFFIRMATIVE VOTE, AFTER AN ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARING, RATIFYING, APPROVING, AND CONFIRMING THE CITY MANAGER'S DETERMINATION THAT COMPETITIVE SEALED BIDDING PROCEDURES ARE NOT PRACTICABLE OR ADVANTAGEOUS, WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SAID PROCEDURES, AND APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH ALTMAN WEIL, INC., IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, AS A CONSULTANT FOR PERFORMANCE REVIEW OF THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $78,000, PLUS COSTS, AS SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE. All interested persons are invited to appear and may be heard concerning such proposed resolution. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this hearing, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal maybe based. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special accommodations to participate in this proceeding may contact the Office of the City Clerk no later than two (2) business days prior to the proceeding at (305) 250-5360.
